Take three women, researchers with same interests and fully sharing objectives and values. And Nurideas was created, a start-up born from the encounter of these three different scientific backgrounds, linked to the biomedical and agro-food sector. We started in June 2014, in Cagliari (Sardinia, Italy), with passion and ideas. The main company activity is the research and development of innovative bioinformatics solutions in the field of biomedical and natural sciences. Currently, Nurideas aims to address the worldwide challenge of securing a high quality and sustainable food production with NurTrack, the next generation traceability software we designed for the agro-food Micro and Small Enterprises. The product not only traces all processes, recipes and ingredients but also brings new tools and opportunities to the companies for creating functional/personalised food products while preserving the know-how of traditional productions alive for future generations. Nurideas aims to become a central hub for the MSEs in the agro-food sector. We focus on the very small companies, those which are keeping alive the quality and knowledge of the traditions, while similar solutions are tailored to medium-large enterprises. Nurtrack integrates multiple nutritional databases to calculate the nutritional values of ingredients and final products. This is a first step towards the development of functional foods tools allowing our clients to innovate and stand out from their competitors.
